Shira's Story

My passion is technology.

I have always been interested in technology because technology contributes to society’s greatest breakthroughs and advancements in both medicine and science. The more I researched the link between these areas, the more I wanted to know. When I discovered bioengineering, I was thrilled by the idea of being able to further understand new discoveries. because this is a career I'd like to pursue.

Shira works extremely well with others. Her enthusiasm shines and this spirit is contagious in a group setting. She is thoughtful, kind, extremely intelligent, and incredibly enthusiastic about STEM educations and projects. Shira thrives when she's challenged and seemingly loves nothing more than to create and learn about engineering.

Fun Summer!

At ID Tech I had lots of fun playing and coding games. C++ was a lot of fun and I met a lot of new friends. Thank you for this fun experience!

Excitement for summer!

I am going to be taking part in the C++ coding camp at iD tech camp held at UCLA this summer. I am really excited for this program because it will teach me how to code a widely used language and I will be able to discuss with people my age how we could implement this code into our futures. I believe that our generation is full of innovators and I believe that this program will help lead me into a career in the STEM fields. I'm very excited and can't wait for summer!
