My passion is game design.
I discovered my passion for game design when a few of my friends and I decided to create a game. We started by getting the correct engine for the game and planning out what style of game it would be. We eventually ended up giving up on the project due to not having enough time and resources, but I really enjoyed starting the game design process. I could imagine how much I would enjoy being with a team and having to come up with the ideas needed to create a great game. I play a lot of games and watch a lot shows, so I feel that I can tell what people would like. For example, having an original idea is very important because if you aren't original, then what will make you different from the rest of the games that are already made?
Attending Cal Poly EPIC Engineering Camp will help me pursue my passion for game design by helping me understand engineers and how they do their job and the struggles they go through. Also, I might find something more interesting there because I am still open minded when it comes to majors.
Jace is a good candidate for the Cal Poly EPIC Engineering Camp because he is hungry for more challenging experiences. Aside from what he learns in the classroom in high school, there are few opportunities to be completely immersed in a college setting with college social possibilities and college standards of excellence and success. Jace would benefit most from working alongside other bright and hungry young minds on problem solving and critical thinking, while taking advantage of the excellent networking opportunity.
Thank you all for your fundraising efforts this year! We are happy to fund the remainder of your campaign!
I'm a 1976 graduate of the "other" Cal Poly (Pomona). But I've had a niece and a nephew attend "this" Cal Poly, and they both had phenomenal experiences and are proud Mustangs. I know you will have a great summer one there as well.
