Lisbeth's Story

My passion is criminal justice.

Criminal justice became my passion when I was ten years old. My father was a police officer who also served for the Ecuadorian military. The things that he has accomplished for others has been inspiring. He had the opportunity to serve his country, and I also want to fulfill what I believe is a duty to my country. Becoming an FBI agent is my ultimate goal, and I enjoy exploring all fields related to law enforcement, and forensics.

I will develop my passion by attending Georgetown Institutes: Forensic Science through hard work and dedication to learning as much as I can about a field that I have some prior knowledge of. As a law enforcement officer, I will need certain skills that I know I can learn through this program. This is a great opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of forensic science from college professors and alongside other students who share my interest.

"During Lisbeth's sophomore year, she became fixated on trying to understand how and why people could justify the horrors of genocide, and she began to develop a passion for social justice. In spite of her limitations as an English language learner, Lisbeth was inspired to conduct countless hours of independent research. She credits this event as one that propelled her towards her dream of becoming an FBI agent and working to promote social justice for all.

Lisbeth's dream job is to be an FBI agent. Her father was a police officer, and Lisbeth wishes to follow in his footsteps to make the world a safer place. She is incredibly excited about the prospect of taking forensic science classes to get an introduction into the field."

Thank you, NSLC Forensic Science

This summer has definitely been amazing and productive for me thanks to Wishbone and NSLC Forensic Science. Since the age of 11, I've known what career I want to follow, but I had no idea how to get there or how it would be. Thanks to NSLC Forensic Science, who've taught me many skills in just two weeks, I realize how my life could be in a few years and I love it. It's amazing how Wishbone offers life-changing opportunities to students like me, and I'm grateful for that. As simple as it might look, it's beautiful how I didn't only learn skills, but I also improved as a leader and met many amazing, lovely people whose friendship I might have for the rest of my life. Thank you Wishbone.
