My passion is medicine. My whole family is apart of the medical field, which has inspired me to follow in their footsteps to do the same. I've been volunteering at Riverside, a nursing home, for almost a year now. I'm very passionate about being apart of what makes my family proud.
Attending Centenary Summer Scholars will allow me to learn more about how I can help others. It'll be an opportunity to continue persevering and making my dreams come true.
Makada comes from a family who has over many generations worked in the medical field. Her wishes are to attend a competitive four year college and obtain a nursing degree and follow in her family's footsteps. Makada would be a good candidate for the Centenary Summer Scholars because the program will enable her to develop additional medical knowledge and skills and provide her with the opportunity to network with youth and medical professionals. This additional professional development opportunity will contribute to Makada's education and training towards becoming a nurse.
