My passion is engineering, and have always loved taking things apart before trying to put it all back together.
My passion was solidified when I joined my high school engineering program. It was the first time that I was able to get a bigger picture on how things work. As we built and unbuilt, I understood the systems and basic engineering that so many machines use. This class showed me skills that I would need to learn in order to pursue engineering as a career.
The Syracuse Summer College Aerospace Engineering program will help me continue to build those skills, and will introduce me to an entirely new form of engineering. The challenges and projects will be new, and the information will be something I would not otherwise receive. This will help me make decisions for college, and help build relationships that could benefit me in the future.
Doug is the most ambitious, self-directed student I have ever met. Doug has set so many new and exciting goals for himself, and through determination has reached each of those goals. This program will be a huge help, and I think he will gain so much from this summer experience. He is the perfect kid for this opportunity.
Thank you to everyone that donated and help with a contribution that will bring me such wonderful experience. I am really looking forward to learning about new things in the field that I hope to pursue as a future occupation.
I am going to participate in the Aerospace program at Syracuse this summer. I am really excited to be joining this program because it is a program that will lead me in the direction I want to major in. I think this would show me more opportunities in the field that I would like to someday work in. My school doesn't have many opportunities to chase this interest and now you have allowed me to. This program will help me by showing me skills I need to work on during my last year of high school in order to enter engineering in college strong.
I am looking forward to meeting people with the same interests as me and learning about topics that interest me. I can not wait to have to solve problems with people I have never met but we would get along because the common interest we have. I am really excited to be challenged to solve problems that will be difficult and seeing what this field has to offer.
Good Luck with Everything!
