My passion is chemistry.
My passion started when I was sitting home, watching a TV show about Forensic Science. Because of this, I realized the unbelievable things chemistry can do. In my 10th grade year, I took chemistry as one of my science courses. To me, chemistry was really easy and fun. The concepts seemed really logical and understandable. The labs we did in class were extremely exciting and it sparked my curiosity even more.
I'm very impressed with the way that Jacky continually fulfills his commitments to his family, friends, team, and self. He is an incredible candidate and would-be participant for any program, not to mention the one at Santa Clara University.
Jacky would benefit immeasurably from the rigor and breadth of exposure to college-level STEM exploration from this program at Santa Clara University. Though his interests at present are largely focused around chemistry as a general area of knowledge, Jacky is looking to explore more specific ways in which he can steer his passion to a viable career. He is hoping to learn from his peers at the Summer Seminar as much as he is hoping to learn from the experience itself in the classroom.
I went into the engineering seminar at Santa Clara University hoping that I would learn a lot and I had high expectations. I hoped that this seminar would have given me some insight on a major that I was interested in. It did! Coming out of this seminar, I was able to figure out that I really wanted to do Electric and Computer Engineering. In this short 5 day program, I was surrounded with future tech company workers. The counselors provided everything and were extremely helpful with our classes. If I was able to go through this seminar again, I would.
I am going to be participating in Santa Clara University Summer Engineering Seminar. I am extremely excited because the date comes closer and closer. I will be in a college campus with other high school students my age that have the same passion as me. I think that this program will help me rocket off my passion for Engineering.
I understand that Engineering is an impacted major in many colleges. This opportunity will help me decide the major I want to take when I apply to colleges. I also hope to make connections with other high school students and professors at the Seminar.
We need lots of engineers for the future! Best of luck Jacky!
Best of luck to you!
I got accepted as well!! I can't go because I have other plans now but I hope it's fun!
STEM is an exciting field! Make the most out of your opportunities there by connecting with professors there and work hard! :)
