My passion is gaming technology. Back when I was a kid, I used to own most types of gaming devices. Most of them were plug and play, but around at the age of 7, I owned my first console, the Nintendo DSi. After that, I fell in love with portable and fun gaming. Most games I played back then were Pokemon Diamond, Super Mario 64 DS, and later on owned my second console, the Nintendo Gameboy Advance with games like Pokemon Emerald, Super Mario World, and Crash Bandicoot. Games that you can take anywhere are remarkable for me. Making awesome memories and telling stories everywhere. Sharing with anyone and having the same experience. With the Nintendo Switch out, it makes that sharing factor even more possible. I want to make a game that is fun and innovative.
Attending iD Tech Camp at Wesleyan will help me create, or have an idea, of what a good game should be. Also, the people there will be able to give me new ideas and thoughts for the game I have in mind. I believe attending iD Tech Camp would be a great start for my game design career.
Carlos is a self motivated learner with a deep passion for game design. I believe that he will consume as much as he can from the experience at iD Tech Camp and use it for his future plans.
I currently have Carlos in Digital Imaging class where he has maintained a perfect 100 average the entire year. Every project that he creates is well done with a ton of creativity. On most assignments, Carlos goes above and beyond the requirements listed for the project. He is constantly asking questions and exploring the program Adobe Photoshop in order to learn as much as he can.
Hey, Carlos writing an update after the my ID Tech summer camp. First things first. I enjoyed my time there. Being the shy guy I am, it was sort of difficult to impliment myself into other groups. It wasn't long until I easily made friends and started to open up a lot more with my coding group. During the end, it became way more fun and exciting. I became closer with some other students there, and my project being a train simulator, and me knowing nothing of coding, it was pretty exciting achieving a certain code that I really needed.
Needles to say, I loved my time in the summer camp. Honestly, one of the best I've ever been to.
Thank you so much for the donation. I couldn't have done it without you. I'll be attending iD Tech Camp this summer. At the program, I'll meet new people and learn the basics of game developing. This has been one of my goals since I heard of Wishbone back in my first semester sophomore year. I'm really glad I'll be able to attend. I'll ready up as soon as possible and be eager to learn new things. So this summer, I'll have fun attending iD Tech Camp.
