My passion is basketball, and it began when I was 12 years old. In public school, I realized that I can actually be a great basketball player with the help of my coach pushing me to play for travel teams and to take it serious at all times. As I continue to grow up, I am realizing that with every practice and after every game, I become better than I was before. I try my best to keep the momentum up in practices and games in order to push my teammates to want to win. I really started to want to play college basketball when i got my first invite to Post University because it showed me that I can really turn basketball into a lifestyle and career.
Attending PGC Playmaker College will help strengthen my overall game and attitude towards the game of basketball because being around coaches that want to help me strive for greatness. Also, asking for advice from others on how to play the game and how their able to be successful will help me not make little mistakes in the future.
Raquon's growth as a student athlete both on the court and off the court have been an inspiration to his peers. He was one of three 10th grade students that I moved to the Varsity team because his passion for the game allowed him to develop past his teammates. He is one of the leaders of the team pushing everyone forward. His passion for basketball has also had a positive impact on his academics. Raquon has been on Honor Roll our school while playing basketball for the last 2 years. Any opportunity to develop his passion as a basketball player will also be developing him as a mature young adult.
This program will allow Raquon to further develop his passion for basketball. Basketball is something that motivates Raquon to push pass his boundaries and comfort zone. He will not only grow as a player but as a teammate and leader.
