My passion is engineering.
As a child, I was always fascinated with remote control planes, fiddling over the controls and eventually crashing the devices. Although I was, and still am, clumsy with controlling these gadgets, I understand the four principles of flight - lift, weight, thrust, and drag, and their correlations with Newton's Laws of Motion. My fascination for the mechanisms of remote control planes have evolved into the technology that surrounds me today.
Attending iD Tech Camps will allow me to further my knowledge and skills in engineering. I aspire to one day be a software engineer, and know that my participation in iD Tech Camps will give me a head start in my future career.
Although I am Jason's religious studies teacher, I do not have the opportunity to observe Jason pursuing his passion in engineering. However, I do know that Jason is a young man who is dedicated, responsible, and hard-working. Jason is a good candidate for iD Tech Camps because he learns things quickly and asks many questions. He works hard and takes responsibility for everything he does.
Overall, it was a great experience. I enjoyed staying at the campus, making new friends, and learning new things about life.
My summer program will be at Stanford University from July 30th to August 3rd. It is a Cybersecurity and Encryption course that will involve Python with the Pycharm to help create and analyze small programs for security and help develop my critical thinking skills.
