Chris's Story

My passion is engineering.

My passion began first year of high school when my school enrolled in physics class. Physics class introduced me to solving problems in the real world. This began my love for solving problems and introduced me to engineering. Stemming from this love of engineering I joined my school’s FTC FIRST Robotics Team. After additional work within this field some friends and I began the construction of a network of vertical wind turbines. My friends and I are building this to help combat climate change that will affect everyone in years to come.

Chris would be a good candidate for iD Tech Camps Connecticut because of his interest in engineering. This would give him the opportunity to see different types of engineering fields that he might not know exist.

iD Tech Camp Experience

Thank you all so much for funding my summer program at iD Tech! At iD Tech, I learned coding elements from Binary and Assembly to C++ and Python coding. At the end of the week, I was able to complete a choice driven text-based adventure story. The camp opened my eyes as to what coding was and the logic behind coding as well as the troubleshooting process. Thank you all so much for this amazing opportunity.
