My passion is basketball.
As a child, I often found myself in positions where I was not the best candidate to play with the big kids. Even though my story sounds like a cliché, it is meaningful because not being able to play with my older cousin put a huge chip on my shoulder. It caused me to strive to be the best at everything that I do. Today, basketball is my passion because it allows me to fulfill my hunger for competition.
I will develop my passion for the sport of basketball by attending a Nike Basketball Camp because participating will help me become a better basketball player and a better individual. The Nike Camp offers a variety of skills, drills, and ways to build character through interacting with new people. All of these attributes are a necessity for succeeding in basketball and essentially life. I know that I have a lot to work on if I want to be the best, and I’m willing to take any opportunity offered.
