Fatima's Story

My passion is running.

I discovered that running was a passion of mine when I was in my middle school physical education class and we were doing the Pacer test. This then inspired me to join cross country my freshman year. Since then, running has been something therapeutic for me. Being a student that is very ambitious, I get stressed a lot. Although running is harsh physically, it has created a space where I can have time to myself; to invest in my thoughts and decisions. I have to thank running for not only making me a healthier individual but also making me more confident.

For me, my performance is everything that I rely on. I think that attending the Nike Cross Country Camp will help me pursue my passion for running because it will teach me more technique on how to become a better runner. I hope I will get the opportunity to meet other people.
