My passion is Fashion Design.
When I around 7 years old, I would always take any clothes from my closet or my mom's closet and begin mix-matching clothes to create an outfit that others can find fashionable. It wasn't until 3rd grade that I knew I wanted to be fashion designer because the creating of clothes and style that people would wear began to fascinate me.
I'm hoping and believing that if I do attend Centenary Summer Scholars: Fashion Design, I will begin to challenge and discover what I have been wanting to do since I was a kid. I believe that being there will give me a taste and understanding of what it is like to be a fashion designer. Overall I truly believe that I will accomplish many things and get opportunities during my time at Centenary Summer Scholars: Fashion Design.
"Our French class had a project to do on the topic of fashion. Nancy produced several projects in the most unique way. She created a fashion design made out of chocolate and explained the project in French. It was magnificent. If anyone deserves to be accepted into this program, it is certainly Nancy.
Nancy is a wiz when it comes to colors, and textures. She has class and a true flair for style. She deserves the opportunity to shine in the abilities God has given her."
My week at Centenary was amazing. I was able to meet new people and explore my future there. I am hoping that my stay there will help me explore what I love and give me a better insight into my future and it did just that! I had such a great time learning about fashion design and my classmates helped me explore with their creativity as well. My teacher and others were incredible with the amazing help they gave me. I'm so glad that Wishbone and you all gave me the opportunity to Centenary because I now know that I will pursue a career towards fashion design!
