Adrian's Story

My passion is soccer.

I always liked soccer when I was a kid because I always saw my family watch and so then I did to. Then I wanted to play and I joined a local club Richmond United and then a lot of time passed and the World Cup was coming up and I was excited for because my country Mexico qualified for the tournament and then in the first of the tournament they lost 1-2 and then later after that I wanted to play soccer and maybe even for my national team one day.

I think attending Nike Soccer Camp will help me by showing me some soccer practices I can do that I haven't done before. One last thing that the camp could help me is by showing me some really good soccer players so they could give some advice to everyone.

"Adrian is extremely passionate about soccer and he takes every opportunity he can to improve. This summer while our freshmen class was on a retreat at UCSC Adrian went out of his way to find the men's soccer coach, introduce himself, and ask what it takes for a student to play soccer on a UC team. The coach was so impressed with Adrian that he contacted our tiny charter school to maintain a connection between our program and UCSC. Adrian is craving a challenge and he is willing to do whatever it takes to meet his goals."

Thanks everyone! I was just going to play another tournament with my team this summer, which is fun but I wanted to try something more this summer for soccer. That's why I'm excited to attend this Nike soccer camp where I will play with players that are my age and meet some coaches.
