I discovered my passion for soccer in the third grade. I loved it so much. Not just for the chance to let out my energy, but it also allowed me to compete with others on the field. I valued the fact that when I played soccer, others developed opinions of me based on my strengths and skills. Playing soccer provided me with an outlet to show others my speed and skill. It was then that I soon found myself with the East Hartford Soccer Club team winning numerous games and either assisting or scoring goals as a left wing player. During that same year I knew soccer would be a part of my life forever.
I believe that attending the Red Bull New York Residential Soccer Camp will help me to develop my skills in order to achieve my personal goals of making my school's varsity soccer team and eventually playing in college. I have great confidence that if I attend this camp I will be able to meet those goals through exposure to quality coaching and training. I also believe that this program can help me to become more aware of the preparation and practice it takes to compete at these levels. The program will provide me with an opportunity to play and learn from other players whom I might not have ever had the chance to learn from if it weren't for this program.
Isaac would be an excellent candidate for the Red Bull New York Residential Soccer Camp because he works hard on a daily basis to try and be the best at what he does. In the classroom, Isaac is always checking in on his performance and inquiring ways for him to do better. He sets goals for himself and puts actions into place to achieve them. This is probably the most significant reason why I think Isaac is a wonderful candidate for this camp. He has set both short term and long term goals to do better at soccer so he can advance to varsity and then eventually play at the college level. Participating in this camp will provide quality training and increase his exposure to other players that he would not otherwise have the opportunity to play with.
