My passion is criminal justice. The purpose of law is for justice to be served. As a society, a group of people are always being oppressed in order to insert dominance over another. Thus making it hard for the oppressed to get the justice and rights we naturally deserve. Being constantly put under this type of scrutiny forces people to either accept these injustices and give into stereotypes or fight back violently. Both ways are ineffective and can lead to more harm than good. I want to use law to break down barriers. I not only want to bring awareness to issues destroying our society, but also bring about change. This change would open the minds of others and restore harmony between people for we can't do it alone, only together.
Attending Saint Rose Pre-College Summer Experience will help me pursue my passion for law and teach me how to fight intelligently.
Despite distractions in school or outside responsibilities at home, Keiana perseveres always and is destined for success. She brings an energy to the school that models for other students how to balance work and a social life effectively. She is curious, asks questions, and never hesitates to push for more. She will be a great addition to Saint Rose Pre-College Summer Experience and will benefit from being outside of her comfort zone, outside of Brooklyn, in a college setting, and learning about something she has been passionate about for years. She will greatly benefit from being around other students who share her same drive.
Thank you so much for donating to my college experience. I appreciate the time, money and energy that you all have invested in my education. Through this experience, I hope to have a better understanding of what I want to study.

Keiana is brilliant, vibrant, and focused. She deserves this opportunity to attend a summer program that will teach her more about what she wants to pursue in the future. If I'm going to give money to anyone, it will be to someone who is willing to work hard and make good use of it. I sincerely believe Keiana will do both.
