My passion is culinary arts.
Throughout my life I've seen my family cook and they've been a big influence on me. I've always wanted to know what it would be like to cook for someone and have them compliment my cooking. It would be an honor to one day be a chef and cook good food for people. Usually when I cook I'm the only one that eats the food, but with a program like the Sur La Table Teen Cooking Program, I aspire to strengthen my cooking skills so that I can prepare many dishes for my entire family to enjoy.
Yasmine loves cooking! She spends time with her family creating traditional Caribbean meals. Her training comes entirely from her family. With no formal cooking training, she still finds time to experiment and craft meals for her family. She is seeking more training to take this to the next level to pursue her goal of becoming a chef!
