Wayne's Story

I discovered my passion for coding through my original interest in computers. My friends were also into coding, and they encouraged me to explore it as well. When I eventually did, I immediately found it interesting and have been eager to learn more ever since.

Attending iD Tech Camps New York will help me pursue my passion for coding by exposing me to others with similar interests. It will help me think critically and learn more about all of the different applications for coding that I might be interested in exploring in college. This program will also teach me how to fail, learn to pick myself up, keep trying, and eventually succeed.

A Note from Mr. Romney, Wayne's Teacher

Wayne is a self and family-identified gamer who wishes to not simply play the game but to understand how it works and create new and interesting options. Wayne currently works to build his knowledge through self-learning after school almost every day and weekend.

Wayne is currently exploring unique and specialized paths within the engineering field. As a 9th grader, it will be an invaluable opportunity for him to gain meaningful experiences in the field through iD Tech Camps New York. The hope is that this program will help him identify possible paths for post-high school study to see out his dreams.
