Harry's Story

My passion is medicine. My love for medicine has been with me since before I could remember. My grandfather taught me that the key to being a great person is helping others around you. With that wisdom, I chose to pursue my path in medicine. Helping people around me gave me a feeling that words couldn’t explain. Knowing that I could make a difference in somebody’s life and doing it for a living is amazing. Advances in medications have enabled doctors to cure many diseases and save lives. With more lives saved, there will be more smiles on faces which leads to a happier place for people to live in and enjoy. I truly believe that I was brought to this world to help people in need and nothing can stop me from becoming what I want to be, which is a doctor. UConn Pre-College Summer Program will allow me to get closer to achieving my dream.
