My passion is to work in the Fashion Industry and become a Personal Stylist. I have had this passion since I was a little girl and I grew up living my life around fashion. When I was little girl, I took an interest in fashion when my mother enrolled me in a community fashion show. From that point on, I grew in love with the fashion industry and I was pleased to dress up in different attire and more pleased to model in various shows. As a young girl, I not only participated in fashion shows but I began designing outfits for me and my friends to wear. I also hosted home events with my family and friends and I used these events as a way to show off our latest gear. When I am in my fashion zone, I am more than over-joyed because I can design different looks and see my ideas surface. I enjoy everything about fashion, and I am always willing to learn, and I enjoy learning new fashion trends and designing unique attire.
Thank you for this opportunity and this beautiful learning experience . I attend the Syracuse Summer College Fashion and Design Program and learned so much in those two weeks. The Fashion and Design program taught me about the history of fashion, how to draw different croquis, and how to sew different kinds of items. I never knew how hard sewing actually was until I came to this program . Attending this program also taught me to be very independent. I would recommend this program to a family member or friend because the program is a great opportunity to meet new people and to learn more about the college and design. Thank you so much for this great experience ! The first photo features the dress I designed while I was in the program. We had a fashion show to display our work.
The second photo was from when we were learning about the history of designers and how fashion has changed over time.
Last photo is when I finally chose my fabric for my pants.
I am very excited about meeting new people and being on a college campus. I’m also excited about learning new things about fashion and how the fashion industry works. The goals that I want to achieve while attending Syracuse are learning about the fashion industry and developing skills needed to be successful at college. I am looking forward to designing different looks and bringing my ideas to surface. I am also looking forward to shopping for new materials, learning new fashion trends and designing unique attire. I am nervous about being on my own and without my family. They provide me with constant support and this will be my first time away from home. One of the challenges that I will face will be adjusting to the college academic level. I will overcome this challenge by remaining dedicated and focused.
Thank you very much for your kindness! I am really thankful for all of the support and encouragement. Without your help I would not have been able to capitalize on this great opportunity. Your donations will help me gain valuable college experience and move closer to my dreams. You’ve helped me out so much and I really appreciate it! Thank you.
Laurie Lawrence is a friend of mine and she has spoken very favorably about you. I just wanted to give you the opportunity to help you get something meaningful and joyful.
Keep up the great work, Chanter - remember to stay focused and be sure to make a plan and stick to it! :)
