My passion is culinary arts.
I started baking ever since I was about eleven years old. It's funny because I started with a kid's baking set called the Easy Bake Oven, but as I got older I just found a passion for baking and cooking. I love the fact that food is mixed with art and it's so beautiful in its own way. I grew up always watching my mom cook big dinners for Sunday night and baking cakes and muffins for dessert. The delicious smell coming into my bedroom made me so happy.
Over the years, I've been focused on baking and I get better every time, but it's not often that I get to cook, which is something I want to continue to get better at.
Faith is a good candidate for Sur La Table Teen Cooking Program because she has a passion burning inside of her. She is dedicated to her studies (which she has proven in biology class) and will use every opportunity that this program can give her. I am excited that she will get this exposure before she decides what path to take in college and beyond. Her goals include studying culinary further and one day owning her own business with pastries and beyond.
I too LOVE to cook and bake, something I started learning when I was a teenager. Wow, would I have loved to go to Sur la Table! Cooking enriches one's life in more ways than can be listed. I am thrilled to support Faith. Good luck Faith, and God bless you! I believe in you!
