The Academy of Art University summer program was an amazing experience. I attended this program because I wanted to know more about future opportunities within the arts. I chose photography, architecture, car and motorcycle design, and acting as my focuses. After attending my classes, I found that I was inspired to learn more about photography and acting. I would like to keep learning more about photography because I truly enjoy taking pictures and telling my own story about what is happening in those pictures. In addition, I enjoy being able to see things that my eye didn't catch before I took the photo. I want to learn a bit more about acting because I found it to be very enjoyable and interesting. I felt like I could be whoever I wanted to be and it helped me become less shy and more talkative. All in all, this program has inspired me to explore different things I have never explored before. It has also helped me distinguish between the careers that I feel really passionate about and the ones I don't feel as passionate about. The first picture is my final photograph that I presented in the showcase for my photography class. The picture on the bottom is a picture of my model that I build for my architecture class. 

While thinking about being able to go study photography at Academy of Art, I feel most excited about being able to explore a photography class at a university and learning more techniques to improve as a photographer and find new ideas that’ll help me excel in my photographic skills. Some goals I intend to set are that I would like to be serious about this class and learn more about my passion and right my wrongs. In addition, another goal of mine is to make sure I practice what I’ve learned each day I learn something new. Furthermore I am most nervous about meeting new people because I will most likely be meeting new people and I’m shy therefore afraid that I may not fit in. A challenge that I may face in this program may be not understanding the lessons and being confused by them. Some ways that I may overcome this is by asking the teacher of the class for a more in-depth explanation. In addition, I may ask my fellow classmates for some help in order to not be confused, and lastly, if all else fails I can do some extra research on the topic we are learning.
