My summer at Baruch College was outstanding. I spent 4 incredible weeks learning about different medical fields, how to make Aspirin, and studying for my SAT. Through this program, I gained a wider perspective on how to approach my senior year in high school. It was also a eye opener because I always thought that the effort that I have been putting into school was good enough. However, after meeting a group of extraordinary people I realized that I have to stop settling for mediocrity, I need to be extraordinary in everything that I do. I will no longer accept mediocrity from myself, and at the end of the program that became not only my senior year goal but also my life goal. This program helped me to learn about so many aspects of the medical field as well as myself. I truly enjoyed my summer program at Baruch College. :)

This summer of my junior year, as I become a rising senior, I will be attending the Baruch Leadership Pre-Med Program. I am extremely excited to attend this program because it would hopefully help me better understand the medical concepts of neuroscience, as well as, make more college ready. In addition, at the current high school that I attend they do not offer courses or classes that have a direct link with neuroscience.

I am looking forward to meeting new people who are either in my age group or about to go to college so that I can learn from their own experience that would help me during my senior year. Another thing that I am looking for is the exchange of stories; the essays that we wrote in order to get into the program. Overall, I strongly believe that this experience will not only benefit me intellectually but socially as well. CAN'T WAIT TO SPEND MY SUMMER AT BARUCH!!
