Dulibel's Story

My passion is criminology.

My passion for criminology has grown drastically throughout the years. It's been a lifetime interest for me: all those areas of examining bodies, blood, fingerprints and crime scenes in general fascinated me since I was a young girl. My father was a big fan of all of detective and crime television programs on Discovery Channel because they were mostly likely based on real life situations. Soon enough, his infatuation with these television programs grew onto me. Over all, the idea of helping out people in deathly situations interests me.

Attending Centenary Summer Scholars Forensic Science program will help me explore my passion of criminology because it will serve as a great resource to educate myself about the field. Along with that, this program can help me develop my skills with hands-on experiments and activities that my school wouldn't be able to offer. It will be a better opportunity to visually see how a day of work in this field will look like. In other words, this program can act as preparation for my possible future career.
