My passion is math and science..
Math and science are everywhere in the world and present in everyday life. Applications of math and science to the most basic things fascinate me. Math is challenging to me, though I still am constantly intrigued by it. I have come to like it because there is always a definite answer; nothing is based on your opinion or interpretation. I specifically enjoy math-based physics as it offers explanations to the most basic actions. Learning about probability is when I knew I wanted to pursue a math-based career. The ability to predict the outcome of and undetermined event was something I found particularly interesting and since then math and science have become my passion.
Attending Squaw Valley Academy Summer School will allow me further my studies in math and science. I would be able to receive personalized help in challenging classes, allowing me to understand and learn to my fullest potential. Here I will be able to become fully immersed in the curriculum without the distractions I encounter at home. If given this opportunity I would be able to take math-based physics classes, which I have always wanted to take. I would be able to explore my passion of math and science at the Squaw Valley Academy Summer School and understand concepts to better extent with the eliminated distractions in my every day life.
Hannah is an excellent candidate for the Squaw Valley Academy for a numbers of obvious reasons. However, it is her dedication and commitment to her academic and athletic endeavors that makes her a prime candidate. Achieving high marks in all her classes, as well as earning a current 2nd place Central Coast Section ranking for Girls Wrestling are among her recent list of accolades. She also holds down a part-time job throughout the school year which indicates a pure desire to excel. As I understand it, Hannah is also an avid outdoors woman with a fascination and respect for nature.
As I mentioned above, Hannah is the Team Captain of our Girls Wrestling squad. She follows through with coordinating day to day wrestling program details in addition to pursuing League-Section & Girls CIF State titles. Hannah takes her leadership duties very serious. She has taken it upon herself to develop a deep understanding of her role as a team leader and accepts her responsibility to lead by example. Hannah is a true role model to her peers.
I had an amazing time at Squaw Valley Academy! I found my classes very interesting and I learned a lot. The other students were very friendly and welcoming. Each day we had daily activities, ranging from hiking and biking to going to the movies and shopping. I really enjoyed the activities as they allowed me to get to know my classmates and teachers outside the classroom, in a less formal environment. My favorite activity was watching the meteor shower, as the dark Tahoe sky made it very easy to view. This was an unforgettable experience and once again thank you to all of the donors.
Thank you for your donations. I am super excited to have the opportunity to attend Squaw Valley Academy this summer. Spending three weeks in Lake Tahoe participating in classes and outdoor activities will be really fun. I am looking forward to spending time away from home and getting to experience life on my own. This will allow me to experience an academic and living situation away from home that will prepare me for college next year. The activities and programs at Squaw Valley Academy appear to be excellent and in my last few weeks of school I'm ready to get outdoors. Once again thank you for your donations, stay posted for updates after I complete Squaw Valley Academy.
