Kristen's Story

My passion is working hard.

I always knew I had speed from school field days and small runs with my family. So, one summer I attended camp and we did relay races my team wasn't very good but then I got tagged. I realized that I had a chance to catch up so I kept running till I got to the end and it was time to come back. Later that day my counselor told my mom about the race and said I should join track because I was fast. I learned that if I worked hard at practice then the meets wouldn't be so hard.

I believe this program will help me explore my passion because I want to be able to help others like my coaches have helped me - but in the medical field. I want to have the chance to make someone's life better. I also love working with others who are in need. I would love to be a part of this program and hope to continue towards becoming a future anesthesiologist.

Excited to attend Centenary summer program

I can't wait to attend this program!! I am glad my teacher told me about this, and gave me the opportunity to be a part of this amazing experience. I appreciate and honor the donations I received because it shows that people also want what's best for me. I can't wait till I am able to do the same for many more. I will use this program to better me as a person, by not only sharing my ideas, but gaining more information from others. I am pleased to be a part of this, and excited to attend this summer.
