My passion is acting.
Acting became my passion because my eyes have always been on the media. I watched a lot of television shows when I was little, which sparked my interest in acting. Eventually, I was studying movies and television shows closely, and every day after school, I would go online to keep up with the film industry--and celebrities’ lives. This year, I noticed that becoming an actress is my passion.
Attending Three-Week Summer College at Ithaca is a chance for me to study acting and theatre. Theatre brings out the creative side of me that I keep hidden from most people. Additionally, these classes would help me step out of my comfort zone. Film and television would enhance my understanding of acting, including the writer's perspective and how the story was made. It would also help me create and share my own story.
"Last year, Goddid had to take an Integrated Algebra Regents Exam (state exam in NY). She would come before school, lunch, and after school for extra help. With this persistence, she was able to get ahead of her classmates and, in turn, become a helper to the other students in the classroom. Now, as a 10th grader, she comes to help the Integrated Algebra 9th graders, and she even helps the 11th graders study!
Goddid is a smart, talented, and a bright student who would be an asset to any program she joins. However, the Three-Week Summer College at Ithaca would be especially beneficial for her because it would allow her to fully explore her passion, which she has not had the opportunity to do yet. Her passion and persistence makes her capable of handling any challenges that might come her way."
I'm going to a 3-week summer program at Ithaca College where I will be taking an acting class. This program also has the participants stay at the college so we can get a little taste of what college is like. I chose this program because I heard such great reviews of it. What I'm looking forward to the most at this program is meeting new people with different types of personality and backgrounds. I also can't wait to do something new because I feel like my life is a little bit repetitive, so I want to enjoy something new this year. Another thing that I'm excited for at this program is doing a course that I'm really passionate about and trying to figure out if it's the road I want to take when I get older.
