My passion is veterinary science.
I discovered a passion for veterinary science when I realized I had a passion for animals. I generally want to be a veterinarian when I graduate college and I specifically want to help improve animals' health and save them from life threatening issues. I like to think that animals deserve to have the same medical opportunities as a human would. I have also thought about working on the field as a rescuer of animals in danger. I have recently signed up as a volunteer at animal shelters near me as a way to give back to the animal community. I have also developed a love for veterinary science while watching Animal Planet. In many ways animals are just like humans. They get food from plants and other animals, and find solutions to daily issues. I hope to find more connections through the Centenary Summer Scholars program and have fun while doing it.
Tierra is an excellent candidate for Centenary Summer Scholars because I know Tierra has a work ethic that is unmatched by a multitude of her peers. She is willing to acquire whatever she wants, and is one of the pillars in her class in regards to following directions and always pushing her thinking. She will benefit from the Centenary Summer Scholars program by having an opportunity to follow her dreams and passions in an organized way for the first time. Since Tierra has not had a lot of exposure in the ways that she probably would like, this is a good opportunity for her to follow her passions fully.
