Victoria's Story

My passion is psychology.

The way that I discovered that I was passionate about becoming a psychiatrist is because when I was in middle school I found out that one of my closest friends was going through a hard time. I wanted to do something, but I did not know what to do about it. I also what to help kids who have been abused.

I think that attending Blueprint Summer at UCLA will help me improve my understanding of how people feel and the ways to help them when they are going through tough times.

A Note from Ms. Duret, Victoria's Mentor

Blueprint Summer at UCLA provides an expansive intro into psychology fields, which will greatly benefit Victoria. She has a natural curiosity and compassion for others, that if channeled through psychology will provide greater opportunities for Victoria and those she can serve in the future. As a freshman in high school, many students seem overwhelmed when thinking of the future. Victoria seems excited and confident that her passions will take her far, which makes her a great candidate for this program.

The Best Time

Hey there! I just wanted to tell every one that helped me was that I had a great time at UCLA. This program gave me a chance to meet new people and make more friends and that is exactly what I did. The course was really helpful and it made me realize the type of career that I am most interested in. Thanks so much!

Update

Hi, this is Victoria and I wanted to say that this summer I will be attending a course with Blueprint at UCLA, and I am very excited because this is going to be an amazing experience that I will be able to learn from and cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you for being there for me so I can go and broaden my knowledge.
