Josiah's Story

My passion is film and media.

I've always been attracted to movies, whether it be big budget Hollywood movies to low budget movies. The first time I realized that I truly loved movies was midway through "The Dark Knight." The Joker was in the middle of the street as he fired at Batman and screamed, "Hit me!" It was as if I could feel the emotion coming from the screen. "The Dark Knight" started my love for watching, analyzing, and possibly filming movies. Though many movies have contributed to my love for cinema, "The Dark Knight," is the one that started it all.

A Note from Mrs. Mancini-Averitt, Josiah's Teacher

Josiah wants to do well, wants to achieve, and wants to look at the world in a different way. He likes to be different and he likes to help others. Film is a way for Josiah to look at the world as an outsider looking in, as a guide on the side. He will use this film and media program to teach the world about what is right and wrong. Josiah wants to make the world we live in a better place and he wants all of us to work together to do that.
