My passion is forensic science.
Forensic science has been one of the very few things I have had a deep passion to since I was little. I would always watch the hit TV shows like Cold Case Files and CSI Miami with my dad. I always imagined myself being part of their crew as they went out and investigated crime scenes. I realized I wanted to be involved in forensic science after I attended a program every Saturday morning at a local college. My class and I would use different techniques to analyze fingerprints and collected evidence to solve our daily mystery. My passion for forensic science has helped me become a more confident student and has given me hope that there is a field out there that is waiting to be investigated by me in the future.
Jack already has drive and motivation, but what he needs is the ability to make his dreams into an obtainable goal. Right now a career in forensic science is all about what he sees from the media and through television programs. In order for Jack to maintain focus throughout high school and college Jack needs experience. Something to ground his passion. He needs to start seeing that this career is more than what you see in movies. If Jack is accepted into the program it will be the fuel that turns a spark of interest into a roaring career.
After attending Centenary Summer Scholars at Centenary University, I've come to realize that forensics is truly a passion of mine that I plan on pursuing throughout college. I was thankful to meet such incredible students from different states who share the same love of forensics. Thanks to you, along with the opportunity Wishbone gave me, I was able to have an amazing summer full of awesome memories. -Jack
I am going to be participating in the Centenary Summer Scholars Forensic Program this summer in New Jersey. I am beyond excited to be given the privilege to participate in this forensics program because I will be learning about forensics with other students who also have a passion for forensics. I feel as if my school doesn't have a well developed program for those interested in forensics so attending this summer program would really help me pursuit my dream and passion. I am looking forward to attending this program and working with other students around the U.S. Thank you Wishbone and those who helped me through this wonderful journey so far. Many long lasting memories will be coming my way!
Everyone should follow their dreams.... Never give up on yours! :)
