Zakiyyah's Story

My passion is forensic science. I was first introduced to forensic science through television shows such as "Bones" and "Law and Order". I came to the realization that forensic science could be a passion of mine because it combined my interest of science with criminology and the criminal justice system. A career involving criminology is something that always interested me but I did not necessarily want to be a police officer. I realized that there are many other ways to be involved in law enforcement that also combined my interest of science. Therefore, my passion for forensic science blossomed. Attending NSLC Forensic Science would help pursue my passion because it will give me an accurate representation of what is to like to work in the field. This will be a life changing experience because attending NSLC would allow me to network and meet professionals that can educate me.
