Marc's Story

My passion is theater.

When I was young, I loved watching cartoon movies about action. In fact, the action parts were the only thing I watched. I loved that they were filled with explosions and fighting. After watching them every weekend, I would pretend as if I was the hero, my father or cousins would be the villains, and I would enjoy making my own story line. At my middle school, there were no acting classes, so I never had any chance to explore my passion for theater. Once I got to high school, I found out there was a theater class. From then on I wanted to discover as much as I could about theater, and set a goal of getting better in it and having as much fun as possible.

By attending ACTeen August Conservatory this summer, I will discover my passions even more than I have already. This opportunity offers professional help from teachers who specialize in acting. This will no doubt help me become a better actor and person overall. It would also help me to meet others with the same or similar ambitions. I can learn with them and make friends, doing this will not only help me with social skills but also acting because I will learn new techniques to make me become a more passionate actor.
