My passion is psychology.
Ever since I was young, I have always acted in ways of tact and diplomacy. The brain is an amazing body part and I have always been interested in learning more about the brain and what in the brain causes certain people to act the way that they do. Everyone behaves differently, and due to how certain parts of ones brain reacts, it can trigger certain emotions, behaviors, and actions.
Attending UConn Pre-College Summer Program will help me pursue my passion for psychology because it will allow me to learn more about psychology. I will be able to partner with other people who have similar interests. This will allow me to learn about other peoples' ideas and work alongside them. Learning more about psychology and neuroscience, I will learn more about how the brain cells work and how the brain functions. I will be able to study psychology in a college level and it will be an opportunity that not many people may take advantage of.
Celivette has always been an inquisitive student wanting to truly understand. She is curious about the human brain and would like to learn more about psychology and neuroscience, so I think the Pre-College Summer Program at UConn could help her learn about these topics. She will work hard and actively participate in all of the activities. This program will benefit Celivette because she will be starting to seriously look at colleges next year, as well as, start thinking about her major. This program will give her a better idea of if psychology is an area that she would truly like to pursue for her future career. Celivette is a reflective person, so this summer will give her a lot of insight if psychology or neuroscience is her future career path.
