Victoria's Story

I realized my passion for medicine when I was about five years old. I always wanted to play with the doctor kit toys at play time, and I was always the first to help when my peers got hurt in gym. As I got older, I realized that I want to pursue a career in medicine to help people who need it the most. I want to have a positive impact on others' lives.

Attending UConn Pre-College Summer Program will help me pursue my passion for medicine by allowing me to see what the reality of being a doctor/surgeon is like. Listening to lectures will help me have insight and advice in the medical world. Real life simulations will allow me to experience things that doctors would have to do everyday. I look forward to expanding my medical knowledge during this hands on program.This program will truly help set me up for success in a future in the medical field.
