My passions are business and cooking.
I discovered my passion for business upon entering Jr. High School. I was given the opportunity to take a business course; while in this course we worked on several small business ventures which assisted the class in raising money. I also love to cook and decided that I wanted to open my own restaurant. Taking cooking courses will provide me with the skills needed to have my own restaurant.
Attending Sur La Table Teen Cooking Program will allow me to gain further knowledge and would ultimately help to decide if I would like to continue to pursuing culinary arts. It will also help to teach me the skills needed to open my own restaurant.
Jamar has a passion for cooking. He cooks often and has begun to create and collect recipes. He often talks about his dream of opening a restaurant as well as exploring and expressing his ideas about how his and other business would/should be run. Jamar has and entrepreneurial spirit and has a desire to learn more. I believe that participation in the Sur La Table Teen Cooking Program will strengthen his cooking technique and help to develop his knowledge and skills.
I would like to say thank you and I really appreciate everyone who has contributed their hard earned money into helping me chase my dream and help send me to a professional cooking school. Your kindness will always be remembered and I’ll use it to help me improve to become a better me everyday.
