My passion is writing.
I spent a lot of time watching movies and listening to music. I always hated the fact that they would finish so suddenly and when I was younger I used to continue the song or the movie. When I was younger, I always loved creating new worlds and having a way to get out whatever I was feeling. As I got older, I began writing more to help cope with emotional problems I may have had. Writing stories was a way for me not only to be creative but to vent.
Boston University can help me find new techniques to do what I love most. Writing has always been something I was passionate about and learning new things to help me become a better writer is something I've been very keen on.
Chelsea is an excellent storyteller and this program will provide her with more strategies, ideas, and techniques to perfect her craft. In Theater class, Chelsea always has such original and creative ideas to share and the rest of the class is always so supportive of her projects.
I did not think I would make as many memories as I did in my short time in Boston. I met many people from all over the country and the world. People who have very different life experiences from me and are immersed in different cultures. I even met people who I believe I will be friends with for many years. My classes were fun and interesting. They gave me a clearer vision and confirm my dream to pursue film and screenwriting in college. Overall it was an eye opening experience and to put it simply so much fun.
My studies in Boston start in July, around two months away! I am so excited and slightly nervous, but mainly just excited. Before heading to Boston University I plan to visit the campus in order to get a sense of the community in the area. After, I have to plan my trip via road trip. My mother will be taking me. Along with that, packing will hopefully be very simple. I will bring some sentimental items to help me when I'm home sick along with necessaries for my dorm in Boston. Wish me luck!
