My passion is running.
In the beginning of the school year I really wanted to join a sport but I wasn't sure which sport it was that I wanted to do. Cross country was one of the options that I had and I thought i'd join because I had never really heard anything about it and I thought I'd join it because I wanted to try something new. As the season started, I wasn't really liking cross country because I thought it was boring. As the time passed and we started to do more running I started to like cross country more and more because running distance was really easy for me. I started to really enjoy running and now running is something I like to do every day.
Attending Nike Cross Country Camp of Champs will help me explore my passion for running because I'll be able to practice on my running skills for the next season of cross country. I will also explore my passion by meeting other people who also have the same passion as I do and learn new things from those people about running. I will challenge myself with Nike Cross Country Camp of Champs but that will also help me explore the passion that i have for running. Cross country is mostly running and my passion is running so it will help me with my passion.
Amy loves to run. It makes her feel happy, and it makes her forget about other struggles in her life. Being pushed by the top cross country and track coaches in the country will fuel and motivate Amy. Just as Amy arrives early every day to class, poised and ready to learn, I know that Amy will arrive early to camp every day, ready to learn and to push herself. One of Amy's many positive qualities is that she is very coachable; she loves to be guided, and she takes feedback well. I know that she would thrive at the Nike Cross Country Camp of Champions.
Being able to attend Nike Cross Country Camp at Stanford University was an amazing experience. Thank you so much for helping me attend.
The first day at camp, I was kind of nervous about talking to new people and also with the runs we were going to be doing, but eventually the nervousness went away. On the first day I was able to meet really cool people from all around the world and we also went on a 3 mile run around Stanford University. Running around the campus was a great experience because we got to see beautiful sites on campus. As the days passed, I challenged myself with running a little extra than what I'm normally used to.
We had really helpful mentors from who we learned a lot from. We also learned a lot from the guest speakers we had, for example, I learned some of the things that are good to eat before a run so that you won’t cramp up. On some of the days we went on runs offsite to some really beautiful trails. Overall, Nike Cross Country was an amazing life changing experience that made me realize running is something I want to continue doing for the rest of my life. Thank you so much for helping me attend.
Go Amy!
We believe in you, Amy!
Two of my sons enjoyed running all through high school. They were thrilled by the competition and have been motivated to keep themselves healthy as a result of their athletics. I hope you will have similar experiences.
Run fast and high!
