Sarai's Story

My passion is art.

Art has been my passion ever since I was five. My mother showed me how to draw simple drawings and from there I started to like drawing. From pencils, I moved on to painting and am now trying to improve my brush skills. My mother helped me find my passion, and I will be dedicated to my art as long as I am able to do it.

By attending the Academy of Art Summer Pre-College Art Experience, I will learn as much as I can to improve my skills. I will do everything I need to do to learn what I need to learn and achieve what I never thought I could. This will help me one day get into the art college that I want to attend by experiencing what it is like to be at an art school.

I have never in three months seen this one falter: Not one assignment has been forgotten, overlooked, or done without extreme consideration. She is the kind of student that can make a teacher's day better just by being in the room. At one point, Sarai had an awesome vision for a graphic design project, so she saved her money, bought the materials, and shared them with her classmates. So awesome!"

My great chance. Im so excited for Academy of Art!

This school year I discovered that I want to have a career in both animating and drawing. Having to focus on both my passion and school work has been hard, but I have managed to get through it finding time to draw and work on my school work. Managing my time from school and drawing has helped me improve my grades and get higher grades than the other years. Attending the Academy of Art Summer Pre-College Art Experience has made me very excited for this summer. Although this summer I will have knee surgery, I have been looking forward to working on the online classes and experiencing something different. I think the classes I will take will improve my skills and make me look forward to attending the college when it is my time.
