My passion is science and technology.
In 5th grade I was told that we were going to dissect a frog, and since then I became interested in the topic. Through labs I have built independence and learned how to cooperate well enough with my peers. With chemistry, I would like to help find cures for diseases that people think are impossible to cure.
By attending Centenary Summer Scholars: Forensic Science, I will be able to examine substances that have causes and effects in our world. For example, if someone were to mysteriously die from an unknown disease, I would study that concept because I know nothing is impossible to achieve. This is why attending this program will expand my passion.
Lydia is very determined to be involved in our school community. Even as a freshman, she has taken advantage of every opportunity presented to her -- including Wishbone! She hopes to be a role model to other students and is actively engaged in basketball, cheer, and her coursework. She has maintained exemplary grades in all subjects, including her passion: science. She is eager to learn more about this passion if accepted to Centenary Summer Scholars.
I appreciate all of my supporters, thank you for helping me reach my goal!
