My passion is soccer.
I started off playing soccer with my friends in elementary school but back then it was just for fun. It wasn't until the 6th grade that I realized how much I loved the sport and I joined the school's soccer team that year. I love how how one isn't limited to one certain body part and every part of your body can potentially score a goal. I enjoy scoring goals and I love the suspense I feel whenever I watch a major soccer game or see somebody score a goal. These are all things I fell in love with as the years went by and they're the reason why I still play the sport today.
By attending the camp, not only will I benefit myself but I will also benefit my team. I am not the best player on my team but I know with the right training and a right state of mind I can become one of the best players on the team. I want to be recognized for more than just most improved. I want to feel like I actually benefit the team during practice and during our games and not just weigh them down. I want us to reach states and potentially help us win a trophy. This can all be much more possible if I am able to attend this soccer camp. Not only that but by doing so, I have higher chances to get into my dream college and maybe even getting a scholarship.
Oliver is the most committed soccer player I have coached. He always shows up to training on time, is dependable at all times, and even if a training is optional, he is there looking to improve. Besides being the most committed player, he is also one of the most passionate players that I have coached. As a freshmen, he struggled with many fundamental skills such as passing, receiving, and dribbling. Through hard work and the resilience that Oliver mentioned, he became a starter during his sophomore year. Oliver has tremendous potential because he is passionate, committed, and hard working every day during training and games.
