My passion is Medicine and Law.
Several times in my life I have seen commercials of kids suffering and dying from cancer, and children in Africa dying of sickness and starvation. Every time I saw these commercials a wave of sympathy swam over me, and all I wanted at the moment was to somehow stop their pain. I knew that is what lawyers and doctors try to do everyday and it made me think "Man, I can't wait until I'm big enough to help change someone's life like them." To me waking up and helping someone would be the best way to live my life, because in doing my job I'm helping someone in the process.
Harvard Secondary School Program is where a normal high school student like myself can pursue a college experience and take classes that help them discover what they love and who they want to be for 7 weeks. This special program will help me explore my passion because Harvard is one of the top schools to go to, and they have great classes about business, law, social studies. This will benefit my future because it could tell me if going with law and medicine is what I want to do in my life. Going to a program like this would let others know I'm serious about my education.
Natasha is one of the most diligent and dedicated students that I have ever met. I honestly believe that she would be an excellent candidate for this program because she is such a passionate learner and awesome person. Almost every day, Natasha voices her enthusiasm for this potential opportunity. She finished her application early and reminded me everyday to fill out her recommendation. When I say diligent I mean diligent! I am so proud of Natasha and how relentless she has been in striving for as many amazing opportunities as possible to help her grow and become the best that she can be. She is actively changing the trajectory of her life. I feel so fortunate to know a student like her.
