Melanie's Story

My passion is acting. I found my passion for acting when I grew fond of the ability to transform into someone else. Living as someone else and their lifestyle is beyond fascinating to me because sometimes, I wonder how others live and what they go through. Acting allows me to see life through their eyes, which is truly amazing.

Attending YPI Summer Arts Camp will help me pursue my passion for acting because I would be in an environment where everyone has this creative personality in them. This program will help me figure out for a fact if I should pursue acting.

A Note from Ms. Rice, Melanie's Counselor

Melanie is a pleasant and driven young lady. She has a love for learning and wants to be successful when given the opportunity and support. Her teachers identify her as a positive student who works hard to understand and master the material presented. I strongly feel that if Melanie is given the opportunity to pursue her passion for acting and experience by attending YPI Summer Arts Camp outside of New Haven, that it will be truly beneficial. I also believe that it will assist her with growing and blossoming academically and personally into the student that I know she is capable of becoming.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at YPI it was an amazing experience. The people there were welcoming and great. I would like to say thank you to those who have helped me achieve this wonderful experience. I will forever be grateful.

YPI Summer Arts Camp

First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who donated to me, I am forever grateful. As you know, I will be attending YPI Summer Arts Camp in the summer which I am so excited for. I hope to really find my passion there and to meet new people. I am mostly excited for the acting course I've chosen to do. I feel that I will meet good instructors and learn a lot from them. I can't wait!
