A Note from Wendy Lou Duong, Michel's Teacher

Michel's parents are very supportive of his academic goals and would like his involvement in soccer to help him get an athletic scholarship for college. He knows his success is a team effort between his family, our school, and his teammates. Michel and I have kept in contact since he was my student last year. He periodically updates me on his struggles and successes, particularly about soccer and geometry since I am math teacher in the school. More than once he expressed his desire to improve on the field and move up to full time varsity roster. I have made a point to draw analogies between his efforts to make improvements in the classroom with his potential to improve on the soccer field. I believe his ability to attend US Sports Nike Soccer Camps will allow him to further develop his confidence and skillsets academically and personally.
