My passion is helping and improving the lives of those in need. I come from Ghana, and from a family with hard work parents who work endless hours to pay for bills that are extremely hard to pay. The world I live in has shaped my dreams and aspirations because of my experiences. I grew up in poverty with a caring and thoughtful spirit. I felt guilty not being able to give as much as I wanted and to be able to be an adult in the future that can give back as much as I'd like would be the reason why I wake up to help and improve the lives of those in need.
Liysah would definitely benefit from this program. She is incredibly independent and seeks out opportunities. This would be an ideal opportunity for her, to set out on her own and try something new that is outside of her comfort zone.
I wanted to update you to let you know that I will be going to college next year! I will be attending UC Riverside where I will study medicine. I want to thank you again for supporting me last summer in attending the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine. I can't wait to continue working hard as a college student. Thank you again!
