Herbert's Story

My passion is soccer.

I discovered the passion of soccer when I was living in Ghana. My older brother, some of our friends and I would wake up at 5:00 am and start training until 1:00pm. We weren't the best players, but we trained hard and persevered through any challenges we had. I always had a positive attitude towards the game of soccer. In 2012, after I moved to the U.S. with my older brother, I stopped playing soccer, but I continued to have a passion for it. In middle school, I decide to join our school soccer team. While my team didn't have much success, I enjoyed being back on the field and in my first game, I had 2 goals.

Herbert is a great candidate for the Red Bull New York Residential Soccer Camp because he is a young man that has great potential with his limited options. If given the opportunity to train at the soccer camp, he will exceed expectations and immerse himself in all areas of the camp to be the best soccer player he can be. Herbert would develop technically, tactically, and become part of a good community of soccer players looking to develop their ability.

Summer Program

Thank you everyone who funded me in this program. I want to let you know that going to Red Bulls Academy was the best thing that happened to me. It helped me to improve on many skills I didn't even know I had. I thank everyone for that.
