My passion is helping others.
My mom always taught me to put others before myself and help those in need. My mom is a nurse and she is always helping others and I realized that I want to help others to. I'm interested in music but I would like to take this program to see how sociology would tie in to music education. Music is the way people express themselves and shows their hidden talents. Since I'm passionate about both music and sociology this program with really help me learn more about others and different ways to help others.
At this program I'll find out better ways for helping other people. I want to help people deal with the lose of loved ones and other things that they're dealing with in their lives. I want to learn more about becoming an advocate for people in my community who need support. I want to learn about making change in society to see a difference in the lives of others. I think this program can help me reach my goal, I'd like to come back to my community and help make that difference.
"Elveret is a compassionate young man who has the skills to truly make a profound influence on the lives of others. He is an old-soul that has an excellent value system and I feel the UConn program will provide him with the tools to further develop his innate gifts."
