My passion is engineering.
The way I discovered my passion for engineering was a complete accident. When I was younger I started to learn about websites and coding. The more I learned, the more I wanted to know. It turns out I was really good at it, and I picked up how to code very quickly. The DMA Teen Summer Camps will expose me to different types of engineering and will help me decide want I want to do for my career.
Sheneda is a second year member of JROTC on her high school campus and is a Vocal Major at Fordham Arts. She is very outgoing, advocates for herself and others in classroom discussions, and is driven to create new opportunities for her future. The DMA Teen Summer Camps could offer Sheneda a place to meet people like her - young leaders in their own environment brought together in a place that represents so much to her and others. She is comfortable working in small groups, an instructional strategy used in all content areas in her school. This has developed her ability to summarize points of agreement, an ability to justify answers with evidence, and work with others.
This week have been great. I have learned how to code games and make my own. I was able to recreate Flappy bird with my own spin on it, I named it CVH. Then I was able to make my own game. The game I created was a racing game I got to learn how to make different levels, add music to the back ground and personalize it to my liking. I really liked this course and would take it again if I had to chance to.
I am going to be participating in the Game Design with Unity because it will allow me to learn more about how to make/ create games. In school their aren't many opportunities to learn anything computer related. My school focuses more on common core courses. This program will help me develop skills in game design and help me decide if I would like to do this for a living.
I look forward to working with other students who shares my interest in game design. I chose this program because I always have an interest in games and learning how people are able to make them. I believe that participating in this program will help me decide on whether or not I want to major in game design when I grow up.
