Thank you for such a great opportunity! I truly enjoyed this experience & could never have done it without your help. This summer I met the most amazing people & learned the value of a creative mind and passion. In this program we learned the basics of sewing and stitching. We also learned how to draw croquis and clothes along with them. This program taught me that fashion is not only about getting your garments done, but also combines a lot of other things. There are challenging stages that bring you to a successful design and clothing collection in the fashion industry. My knowledge has definitely expanded and my opinions on a major within creative arts has had a 360 degree turn. My interests definitely include creativity/design & this is what will drive me to the choosing the perfect college major. 

When I think about Syracuse University I think about New York, I think about college and the opportunity to travel and be independent. I am excited about traveling and staying in the dorms and get the chance to be able to go in to a class where I learn what it is like to be in a college environment. I’ve never had the chance to travel because of the economic struggle in my family, but with this program I am given the chance to travel and follow my passion. I hope to further expand my knowledge in creative arts and fashion. This would be the experience of my life and would help me determine if New York is really the place I want to be in for college because for today it has to be my number one choice. I plan to make the best out of this experience.
