My passion is architecture. As a little boy I developed an interest in looking at different types of buildings and drew city streets with buildings and lamp posts. Then, 5 years ago, I got more hands on and began designing houses and mini apartment buildings made out of boxes and things in the shape of a square and rectangle. I started getting more interested in drawing houses on paper with windows and doors and paid attention to detail by using a ruler and a pencil. I really like cutting out windows and doors and pasting them to the boxes to make apartment buildings to make a mini city with street lamps and 3D paper buses. To this day I love going to the city and very urban areas to look at and observe buildings to get ideas on how I would like to design my own buildings as an architect in the future.
Hugo enjoys drawing and releasing his creativity through the world around him. The Center for Architecture Summer Program will support Hugo's passion and latest discovery of design. It will allow him to explore the latest in digital design, something that he is unable to do in school. This will further his passion and will help guide his college exploration process to explore his future career options. Hugo will benefit greatly from this summer opportunity.
I'll be waiting to see your work in Architectural Digest!
